new paiiiiiiiintin!
Here are a few paintings I manage to get out of that trip to Angeles National Forest . I try to keep my gear really simple (umbrella, chair and tablet) Glare is always your enemy but if you pick a spot that has little bounce light behind you, it shouldn’t be to much of an issue. The subtle colors in nature always reminds me, there’s so much she can teach us…so much…Hope you enjoy!
oops I forgot to add a photo of my gear ...BAM!

Monster Taxidermy shortfilm
I haven't posted a lot of design work in a while, so I'm going to post these little guys at 12-12-12 12am hah
This was for a short film I was thinking about making, although in it's current state it's way to ambitious and needs a lot of grooming. It was a ton of fun to design, esp when you are designing for yourself. Basically it's a story about a failing family taxidermy shop, that specialize in rare oddities and monsters.
That is the wonderful thing about being an artist, we are never short on story's that we want to tell. Hope you enjoy!

Animation Guild Calandar Painting
Whew! I can finally post this since CTN is over. The
animation guild asked if I would be interested, in submitting a piece for their
calendar with their new logo design. Had a lot of fun designing and painting this–happy
holidays everyone! Looking forward to some home cooked turkey!
CTN was a blast! I want to say thanks to everyone who participated in
the portfolio review with me and the amazing Bill Perkins. I’m also terribly sorry to
everyone who was checking out the color key demo (Pinocchio designed in Polynesian theme) when the computer gave me the blue screen of
death midway through uggg. I decided to time myself with the 35min that was allowed, and this
was pretty much where I was taking the painting. The first part is always the same- hope you
guys enjoyed it and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
happy holidays!

CTN and plein air paintings
I'll be at CTN Expo at Burbank, CA from nov 16-18. Selling a few prints at the CGMW booth, but to my surprise CTN Expo asked me if I would be interested in doing a demo for the convention! I'm still not sure what I'll be painting but stop by and say hi!With any luck my nervousness will cause me to have spontaneous human combustion. win win for science!
Here are a few plein air paintings I did during lunch at work. You can see my buddy David Merrit in the background painting away!

Happy Halloween and the winner!
Happy Halloween everyone! So I used my custom number generator and the winner is Rosemary Travale !
Many thanks to everyone who participated! I found this to be pretty fun and I'll be sure to do this
again in the future.
In the past, I was always in the habbit of dumping all my old art work
(since I was moving and needed the space etc.) so in the future I'll try to throw a few in here for fun.
thanks again everyone and happy Halloween!
